About The Influential Mother

Who is The Influential Mother?

I’m Claire Rocks, the blogger behind The Influential Mother

I am a 30-something, proud Mum to 5 boys…yes that’s right…

FIVE!

My boys are Cameron (17), Harvey (14), McKenzie (9), Caelan (7) and Cohen (5)

Two of my boys have additional needs.

I’m also a step mum to a gorgeous girl, Mia (12) she is the ‘pink one’ I never had.

I’m married to my best friend, Matthew. Who is my rock, I don’t know what I’d do without him.

As if 5 kids isn’t enough, I’m also a fur mama to Rocky, a 7-year-old Yorkshire terrier and Buddy and Apollo who are chihuahua puppies.

We are from the North East of England.

I live on cups of tea. (milk 2 sugars, oh and a chocolate biscuit please), reading and listening to self-development books and podcasts and building my businesses.

By day I’m an OFSTED registered childminder and by night I’m an independent travel agent and blogger.

I am known to burn incense and pull a few tarot and oracle cards along the way.

I’m slightly obsessed with crystals, candles, self-care and the Hygge lifestyle.

Each to their own I say.

I started blogging as a way to help other Mum’s through their journey through motherhood. Because we all know that Motherhood doesn’t come with a manual, right?

Motherhood Isn’t Easy!

Motherhood is one of the toughest jobs anyone will have to do. Honestly, I’m sure I read that being a Mum is the equivalent of 2 and a half jobs!

Throughout The Influential Mother, I’ll be covering the highs and lows of motherhood, parenting hints and tips, body confidence, relationships, mental health, mindset and so much more.

I am going to be honest with you all. Because, ‘Honesty is the best policy’, right?

I’ve ‘been through the wringer’, I’ve experienced eating disorders, domestic violence, being a single mum twice over, depression, low self-esteem, losses, experiencing poverty and more.

By sharing and using my knowledge, experience and personal stories, I hope to inspire, connect, help and support other mums by empowering them to find themselves, their passion and to define themselves as more than ‘just a Mum’ all while raising their family and being the best mum that they can be.

To get to know me better and have a nosey of my day to day life come on over and follow my stories on Instagram.
